Spring has arrived in the Borders. Winter is behind us , lambs are leaping , Scottish Bluebells and daffodils are competing for space and the Borders lochs, rivers and rolling hills are calling. To celebrate our 5th Spring season and the bountiful borders produce, Chef Stu has created some amazing dishes and our early season guests are loving them! Its the perfect time for a quick break away from the hectic schedule. Its the perfect time to visit Windlestraw .
Another winter break and an opportunity to invest further in the Windlestraw experience. Sylvia has brought her unique style to the upgrading of the upper public areas and the Moritz room. While John spent time in Nepal on our CSR school projects Sylvia merged multiple local trades into one coherent force and completed all the work in time for the new season. The results are simply stunning! The listed hand carved stairs and ceiling features benefit from a sympathetic design which brings the decor up to date while respecting and highlighting the craftsmanship of past artisans. The reconfiguration of the Moritz room introduces a cosy and stylist sitting area and the subtle oriental theme gives a nod to Edwardian taste. All rooms now have fast speed wifi allowing the introduction of internet tv so you can catch up while you chill out.
