Glentress Mountain Biking
We are only five miles from some of Scotland's premier mountain biking at Glentress Forest. Popular with mountain bikers of all abilities Glentress Forest has a number of well marked and graded mountain bike trails.
Mountain Biking Trails
There are 65 km of graded trails including black for difficult, red for moderate and blue for easier trails.
The Helly Hansen V Trail takes you over 18 miles around the Forest reaching the highest point called Dunslair Heights. It is recommended for experienced riders and was voted the UK's Best Trail 2003 by single track magazine readers. It includes single track, jumps, drop-offs and berms.
Notable parts of the trail include the Boundary, Deliverance and the Ewok Village!
The Hub in the Forest
On arrival at Glentress Forest you will find the main car park shortly past the main entrance. Right next to the car park is The Hub in the Forest cafe and mountain bike shop.
It's a great place to find maps, hire bikes and join guided tours. They also have a wide selection of mountain bikes for all ages.
The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable able to offer a wide range of advice should you need it. Also on-site are washing rooms and changing facilities.
Year-Round Mountain Biking
