From Edinburgh take the A6094 signposted to Biggar and then at Penicuik take the A703 to Peebles. From Peebles follow the A72 signposted to Galashiels. Windlestraw Lodge is on the left-hand side just before you leave the village of Walkerburn, at the 30 mile an hour speed limit sign.
